Maeley + Braden

Maeley & Braden’s Warm River Elopement | Ashton, Idaho

Tucked between rolling forests and mountain ridges, the quiet town of Ashton, Idaho rests along the scenic Warm River - a place where time seems to slow down and the wilderness whispers stories of love and adventure. Known for its breathtaking views and welcoming charm, Ashton holds a legacy of community and resilience. Every winter, it comes alive with the American Dog Derby, the oldest dogsled race in the lower 48 states, honoring Idaho’s spirit of endurance and connection to nature.

It’s no wonder Maeley and Braden, a couple from Tennessee, chose this hidden gem for their Idaho elopement. They dreamed of something intimate, grounded, and deeply personal - surrounded by mountains, evergreens, and the sound of rushing water.

From our very first conversation, I knew their day would be special. In their own words:

“We had the most incredible experience with Angie when we eloped in Idaho. From the moment we connected, she made us feel so comfortable, even though we were far from home. We were a bit nervous about having a photographer so far away, but Angie truly exceeded our expectations.”

The morning of their Warm River elopement was calm and golden, the light spilling gently through the trees as they shared their first look on a canyon overlook. Maeley’s elegant gown trailed softly against the rocks, and Braden’s expression said everything - awe, joy, and love, all at once.

As we explored the forest trails, their laughter blended with the sound of the river below. They paused often to take in the views, whispering quiet promises and holding each other close. The peace of the Idaho wilderness surrounded them completely.

“She took the time to understand our vision and helped us choose the perfect spots for photos, even offering suggestions for scenic locations we wouldn’t have found on our own,” they later wrote. “On the day of the elopement, she was not only professional but also made us feel like we were the only couple in the world. Her positive energy helped us relax and just enjoy the moment.”

Those moments - the laughter, the stillness, the love - are why I adore photographing elopements. It’s not just about the images, but about the feeling behind them: the authenticity, the freedom, the way the landscape becomes part of your story.

As the sun began to set over Ashton, the mountains turned soft and golden. Maeley and Braden exchanged vows by the river, their silhouettes framed by the forest that had witnessed it all.

“The photos themselves are absolutely stunning. Every shot captured our love and the beauty of the location in a way that feels timeless. We’ll cherish these memories forever, thanks to Angie!!”

Their day was everything they’d hoped for - intimate, joyful, and filled with the spirit of adventure that defines Idaho itself.

If you’re dreaming of an Idaho elopement that blends romance, wilderness, and heartfelt storytelling, Warm River and Ashton offer an unforgettable backdrop. And I’d be honored to help you capture it all - the beauty, the emotion, and every in-between moment.
